| LP TRANSFORMS™ serves the needs of a rapidly changing environment in personal music listening. Our research clearly shows a shift away from listening to long-playing records as the primary source of high quality music recordings. More and more listeners are not only listening to digital file-based music, but are demanding the highest possible audio quality to fully enjoy their favorite music. Analog records provide the highest audio quality currently available to the mainstream music lover. LP TRANSFORMS, employing some of the best audiophile components available today, has developed processes to convert your treasured LPs to the highest quality digital music files possible with today's technology. The quality of our digital audio is amazing in its faithfulness to the original LP. And because it is digital, it will never warp or wear out.
LP TRANSFORMS was born from a review project that looked at digitizing records. "Is current technology good enough to capture the magic, nuance, and deep emotional involvement we derive from listening to LPs?" This is the question we sought to answer. And the answer is, "YES"! We tried many different approaches, with different pieces of gear and software. The conclusion is that, done properly using very high quality components, computer-based music is as satisfying as listening to records. Welcome to the digital age!
Using only exceptional "audiophile approved" LP playback and recording equipment, LP TRANSFORMS creates high quality digital music files from your vinyl records. All records are cleaned, tested for quality, and recorded using recording studio-quality analog-to-digital converters. All conversions are done in real time, one LP at a time with strict quality control. We listen to your music files before we ship to you, auditioning each file on a $60,000+ audio system. The resulting digital files are then saved to DVD or other media and sent to you for your long-term enjoyment.
Our service is perfect for archivers, those wishing easier access to their music without the need to play their valuable records, and those interested in moving forward with the latest music technologies. You tell us the file format you prefer: WAV, AIFF, FLAC, or almost any other common format. All recordings are made at 24 bit depth for exceptional dynamic range. You choose the sampling rate of either 96 kHz or 192 kHz for sound quality which is far above the best CDs you can buy.
We also offer restoration services for badly worn or noisy LPs and 45 rpm recordings. Please contact us for more information.
